System Problems

I went to the Destee home page around 1:46 am this morning and I had not signed in but Destee.com had me as signed in. I changed my Avatar yesterday and I could see my new avatar updated shortly after I had changed it. However, at 1:46 am today my old avatar was showing in threads I had participted in, and post I had made prior to changing my avatar, were missing. I signed out and left Destee.com home page. When I came back to Destee.com home page later, I signed in this time and I could see that my updated avatar was now there, along with the post that were at first missing.

About 15 minutes ago, I came back to the home page and I had not signed in but I was reading post. When I came back to the homepage, I was showing as signed in but I had not signed in. So I tested to see if I could shout out in the box and the shout went through... so indeed I was signed in.

This is not a case of clearing cookies because it was, I would have been showing as signed in, but I would not have been able to shout out in the shout box.

I am still trying to log out but the system will not allow me to log out. I am still showing as logged in and I can still do things like I am signed in.

first, the obvious: are you signing out? (the forum should time out anyway, though, shouldn't it?)

are you closing all browser windows and tabs? you might also want to clear your browser history to get rid of older pages.

sounds like something someplace is holding old pages longer than it should.

Let me see if i can reproduce it on my end, or figure out what's happening on your end.

If anyone else in the Family is having like experiences, please let us know by posting in this thread.

Sister Astrologer4U ... i tried reproducing the same experience, and could not.

I too have changed my avatar over the past 48 hours or so, a couple of times, including just now. It all seemed to change properly. Also, when i was logged out, i did not have access to any "logged-in" features.

You seem adamant that this is not a cookie issue, but the entire login system is based on cookies. Have you cleared your cookies and cache, just to see if it makes any difference in this experience? This would affect what pages / updates are displayed in your browser as well.

If you have done this already, and are still able to post to the shout out box ... while not logged in ... let me see that, so i can know it's being done ... for as far as i understand, it should not be possible. Seeing it with my own eyes, will surely change my mind about that.

I'll be logged in for a few ... kinda watching the home page ... so if you see this, and are not logged in ... let's do a little experiment ... go ahead and do a shout, and if i see that, and don't see you logged in ... i'll know we have a major problem that i must dig deeper in trying to resolve.

Matter of fact ... let the shout be ... "Destee, i'm not logged in, but i'm shouting!" ...
