Like the fall leaves that must be gone before winter
snow...they must go , only to return the next day.
You had me love jonesd, swept away!
Like the footsteps the old lady at Mardi gras advised
sprinkle salt if you want him to stay away behind his
each and every step...then it must be swept away!
Like gathering snow on a side walk that gives access
to the warm awaiting car that will take you far...
It must be swept away.

Just like that my heart my mind the way I breathed
I had been sacked and slammed by a love attack.
Flour spilled on the floor where you prepared his
first Fried chicken dinner , memories of sucking
from his finger, your mind lingers...you were
swept away. Love blurred my vision as I watched
you walk away every time you left, I waited with
breath baited...would you return to stay! I know
that I am falling fast...I know what it
means to be swept away.

Like smooth fingers caress tears away from long lush
eyelashes ;when I realize that we are both in love
you wiped away, swept away the tears that day
and made all my winter blues turn into warm
carribbean days on the beach...scattered bits of
sand where we lay...must be swept away!
I know that day like I know on the last, love came
quickly sometimes it does not last. Hearts flutter
souls melt together like butter and our love affair
like the salt on the walk must have gotten...
swept
away!
