somewhere ova da rainbow....
Sweet child
Within the night
The innocence was broken
Like a china doll
As he took her soul
And all her hopes
Because of his thirsty
He wanted a taste of Black beauty
Attracted to her more then his own
Molded to perfection
Full lips bright eyes of diamonds
Round shape hips...for he feen
A creature he dare not have but wants
Voodoo child
Cry out
Cry out
Flooded souls trying to hold it down
Like chain reaction
She pulled herself up
And went on like it never happen
For she carried the storm
Voodoo child of mystery
Without complaint just trying to maintain
One day we shall all be free
Of this storm
Chains will unlock
And we will be lifted
Cry out
Cry out
On and on
The world keeps turning
A chain reaction is coming
Building and building
Releasing and holding
A kingdom of Kings and Queens
Pride in our walk
As we stride for a better day
As our souls begin to talk
We rise
We rise
Drifting on the Black River
Voodoo child of mystery
Deep within the soul
We as a people have the knowledge
Teaching and learning
Writing and reading
Foreseen
We rise
We rise
Remember that
Black souls of poetry
Within us we have the
Meanings of all meaning
Black voodoo child
Been in the storm way to long
Break the chains and
A sweet chain reaction
Will coming……
Sweet voodoo child
Cry out
Cry out
For the storm will fade
Its already foreseen
