sweet symphony played on the emotions of others
never realizing her band might fall into one another
we tried to warn her but sweet symphony played on
dancing ignorant to her own favorite song
she had trombone players and strings and flutes
bass players, guitars, drummers and lutes
depending on what she wanted to hear that day
symphony could hire a new band and throw the old away
sweet beauty we tried to say the game would out last her
but she didn't hear; just played faster and faster
hire and fire and move along
never noticed shw was off beat; her melodies wrong
she meant no harm as she done these things
and never imagined a conductor would cut her strings
till she met a d.j spinning his own mix
and not down for the concerts; all beats were his
symphony wait; slow down; catch the flow
you're only sixteen; and ****** don't dance no mo
but she bankhead-bounced on her way along
and the d.j. was strict with airtime for the song
he pulled her keys and scratched her chord...
and now sweet symphony plays no more.

for my sweet- Symphony Dyanne Williams-
do unto others... emotions run deep. RIP.
    peace-Ms.Dy
