Tony dungy won the superbowl as a player and head coach

Best superbowl team ever...i'll say 99 rams they are the most complete IMO....i disregard teams frm the early yrs because athelically cant compete with teams of the 90's n today

the 99 rams were #1 on Offense and #6 in defense respectively...they were adept all around offensively....Kurt had the greatest yr a QB could have (including tom brady's 2007 season) because of the circumstances surrounding his season...defensively Kevin greene & Grant winstrom that year were sensational..also helping out was demarco farr inside giving them 3 pass rushers at any given time. the linebacker core included london fletcher and the secondary fielded dexter mccelon and dre bly all of whom were young but very talented...offensively theres too many ppl to speak of...they had a 4 some of Wr's that could start for anyone at the time...marshall n kurt could not be stopped....i rest my case

most loipsided game was the 1940 NFL championship Bears Redskins; Score was 73-0 bears

    heres some issues with this

    1) the dolphins had one of the easiest schedules all year...if im right they beat just two teams without losing records n i believe both teams finished a mere 8-8

    2) the dolphins weren't a high scoring team...their 14-7 win over the redskins in the superbowl who is one of the worst superbowl teams in known history conciedes with that

    3) Where was the offensive firepower?....the dolphins had a good Line and even better backs...the dolphins succeeded at running the ball dwn everyone's throat...conska n morris made a great duo as conska wore teams down alongside tht O-line and morris's speed made defenses play sideline to sideline....but outside of them where was the firepower?...the team relied on a back-up playing game manager to win games...outside of paul-warfield there was no threat...teams of the 90's/00's would simply scheme and force the Qb to throw and having one Wr threat makes this tougher

    4) Theres a difference in Talent Level frm the 70's to the 90's n 2000's...Players in the 70's were weaker and smaller...teams frm the 70's going up aganist teams today would get pummelled

It's been a disappointing season for Bears' fans, but this Blast From The Pastis something to be proud of. the most lopsided game in NFL history.
    CHICAGO BEARS
A team who beat the Redskins 73 -0 to win the championship title in 1940 holds the record for the
the most lopsided game in NFL History that stand today !

The T-formation is so much associated with the 1940 Chicago Bears that their fight song Bear Down, Chicago Bears refers to that. "We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation, with your T formation..."

The Monsters of the Midway arrived on this day, and it is still one of the greatest moments in the history of the Chicago Bears franchise.
    Scoring summary
CHI TD - Osmanski 68 yard run (Manders kick) CHI 7-0
CHI TD - Luckman 1 yard run (Snyder kick) CHI 14-0
CHI TD - Maniaci 42 yard run (Martinovich kick) CHI 21-0
CHI TD - Kavanaugh 30 yard pass from Luckman (Snyder kick) CHI 28-0
CHI TD - Pool 15 yard interception return (Plasman kick) CHI 35-0
CHI TD - Nolting 23 yard run (kick failed) CHI 41-0
CHI TD - McAfee 35 yard interception return (Stydahar kick) CHI 48-0
CHI TD - Turner 20 yard interception return (kick failed) CHI 54-0
CHI TD - Clarke 44 yard run (kick failed) CHI 60-0
CHI TD - Famiglietti 2 yard run (Maniaci pass from Sherman) CHI 67-0
CHI TD - Clarke 1 yard run (pass failed) CHI 73-0

I agree, but you can only play what is out there. Many of these point you make will forever haunt them for the very reasons you state. But if you've seen any of those clips, maybe you will see what some consider to be one of the weirdest plays in Super Bowl history. A field goal attempt was blocked, so instead of the kicker just covering the ball, he tried to pick it up and throw it. The ball slipped out of his hand and was batted into the arms of one of the Redskins cornerback I think, who ran the ball back 49 yards and cut their lead in half. But they still won.

    Peace!
