    I have become
    like a child
    with the thoughts
    of riding a merry-go-round
    on a Sun Day

    His words
    are the trap doors
    inside his own soul
    with a secret tunnel
    leading to mine
    and I want
to help him find the keys --

    If I do
    will he accept
    my entrance?
Or shall I wait for his?

    My merriness goes round
and round ... I'm bright and
    filled with hope today

    Hoping to get a horse
    with a saddle
    that can hold me
    I have
    feelings and moods
that gallop as an elliptical orbit
through me from sun up to
    sun down on Sunday

    and also I have thoughts

    on Sun Days
    when there is nothing but
    time...
    time to think...
    On Sundays... I have thoughts
    of a blue horse
    striding the desolate
    sands to the sea of
    his fears ...
    dodging the clouds
    because
    that silver lining resting there
    may not be meant
    for me to see
    instead it may be a
    silver bullet disguised
    hiding behind the clouds
    lying low -- waiting to
    kill me ... softly

~so I tell myself to keep writing
don't try so hard -- beathing
    comes naturally

    and I have thoughts ...
    Thoughts
that get the best of me
    thoughts

Thoughts of .... rise and shines

    Sunny afternoons

    Happy to be pulling back
    the clouds of covers that
    warmed our Saturday

    Those brown on brown
    shadows that kiss
    soft memories
    can be seen
    on any given
    day of the week
    and yet
    they remain
    pasted between my thighs
    and become EXTRA special
    after mid night moans

    Disbelief peaks --
    in on us
    daily ...
    waking us
    on Sunday for brunch
    structuring our every moment
    hiding in the corners
    of two sets of smiles
    (the horizontal & vertical ones)
    catching glimpses
    of my laughter
    slipping into Sunday
with no plans for hopping out

    Holding shadows from Saturday night
    dreams that stuffed my pillows
    and exposed my
    heart as it lay
    next to stained feathers
    on a bed dressed with
    solid blue sheets
    now moist from hours of
    imaginary love-making

    to myself

Our destiny wanders inside a forest
    of royalty
    green escapes envy
once it was lit by the rays of
    sun that captured it

For days I adjust my eyes
    to see through this darkness
    that presides
    until I no longer
need the sun to find you
    because your presence is
    illuminated and it lights
    the travel course

    Yet, I know distance is
    phosphorescent and I
    hope you and your
crescent shape are not an illusion
on this or any other Sun/day...?

    On Sun Days
    I have thoughts of
    soaking and bathing in
    ritualistic
    journeys
    watching continuous
    bubbles as they disappear
    then re appear
    forming
    as a ring
    a round
    the tub's basin
    soothing my body
    where you left
me ... torn ... only the
    night before
    while I dreamed
    of you

    We sew at the seams
    of a new relationship
    on the hem of curious
    garments that
are held back by the distance
    between two knotted strings in
    a valley of consciousness

    But still, I have you
    reading my mind
    Setting doves free
    by giving in to reading
    rhymes until those once
    grounded birds
    can fly together

    Every day ... even
    on Sundays

    Sun Days ...

    ... I leave you with
    the rest of the week
    wondering what will make
    you happy
knowing that you'll graze on these
    thoughts ... even long after
    the season changes
    because nature has a way
    of changing just as it
    remains the same

    Sundays always do...

    Sun Days
