    Hi Family,

I have a question I would like to pose to you:

If you had the opportunity to ask young black teenagers / young adults any question you could, what would you ask?

I am working on a project at school and I will have this chance. I would love some ideas on what to ask them.

    Thanks in advance,
    Smartgurl

    1. What is your definitive definition of "old school and new school and do you perceive one to be superior to the other and why"?

    2. Do young people see racism as a cause to many of the issues affecting our people or have we reached the point in time where we now blame ourselves for many of the issues despite the fact that we have not been deprogrammed from the past issues that affect us?

    3. Do young people understand the laws of cause and effect to many of the ills that infect our communities?

Thank You Alkebulan and Keita, your questions are very helpful.

I'd like to encourage others to share with me as well, if you all don't mind.

It may help you to know that the central theme of the project is to learn about the social support system of these young people (specifically black college students at a white university). So if you have questions to share, that can speak to that specifically, in any regard, please do.

For example, a couple of questions that I am asking are:

"Do you feel like your racial identity is in conflict with your academic identity?"

    AND

"Are you more likely to hold your concerns in or share them?"

Remember, no question is too trivial or too deep ... so please don't hesitate to share anything that comes to mind.

Thanks again Alkebulan and Keita... and everyone!

WITH THAT BEING THE CASE, ASK; "HOW DOES ONE GIVE AN EQUAL EDUCATION IN AN UNEQUAL SOCIETY AND EXPECT THAT THEIR STUDENTS WILL REAP THE BENEFITS OF THEIR LEARNING?"
