    Stupid is as stupid does,
and now I’m feeling repercussions from how stupid I was.
Intelligent in most aspects, but I was stupid in love.
Not so much in how I gave it, but in the way I gave up.
But in a way I gave up cause of the way I came up,
thinking no one was truly worthy of the love I saved up.
Cause most were quick to lay up,
    based on my genetic makeup,
never based on intellect or what I was really made of.
So in effect that made love, more of an ideal or a myth,
and the reality of it all was nothing short of makeshift.
    So concurrently my weight shifted,
    to that physical love,
and any other thing that gave my fragile ego a budge.
I went at the concept of love like I was training for it,
treating women like nothing more than sparring partners and sh1t.
A new one every week just to compare my techniques,
I even conquered several freaks to prove my style was elite.
    From the puffy to petite,
the shallow to the one’s deep,
I made sure that no matter the color of the spectrum,
I could make their knees weak.
    But still I wasn’t complete,
there was an emptiness that ran deep,
deeper than the bank accounts that average rappers deplete.
I wanted the complementary of self,
someone with whom I could build wealth,
and give the seeds a wealth of knowledge and a greater sense of themselves.
    Basically the mirror of me,
that knows how to let me be free,
but at the same time, show me that without her,
I’m only half of what I could be.
The sad thing is that I’ve always known what I wanted,
but anytime I was confronted by it,
I always seemed to shun it.
    Running from discrepancies,
    when the discretion within me
was brought about by my own inconsistencies.
Cause stupid is as stupid does,
and I’m STILL feeling repercussions of how stupid I WAS.

This well structured piece flowed so smoothly. Sometimes feelings get so intense that we run from them, and in doing so, we try to run from ourselves. Good to read you again, flow on.

    Poet...your work is without question
    "a phenomenon"...
    of unexpected perspectives
a peace that pealed back the layers
    of inner thoughts and emotions
that flow...often out of sync with love
yet...reflected the true image of love

    love is...as love does
and phenomal poetry flows...as phenomenal poets go...
