strong athletes die from massive heart attacks ? what up wit dat ?
Some heart conditions are genetic and no matter how athletic or healthy you try to be, if you're predisposed to certain conditions through family DNA, they are likely to develop regardless. But lifestyle can contribute and may the majority of the time, to diseases that kill AA's at a high rate.
High blood pressure, obesity and diabetes are the most common conditions that increase the risk of heart disease and stroke among AA's. Is there anyone here who doesn't know of someone in their family that suffers from any of these conditions that isn't genetic?
as professional athletes these brothers are supposed to get check ups.
their condition should have been discovered and treated.
get that check up.
i got mines from a lifetime of bad eating. that's cultural not genetic.
Maybe and this is a huge MAYBE...but what if brothers are getting check ups and these health conditions are being discovered but they're not being told, because the franchise will lose $$ if these athletes aren't performing? So work for us until you drop dead, then we'll move on and say, NEXT!
