I don't recall their names but I heard talk of them in the 70s--STRONG and true Black male and female revolutionaries who knew their history and who were strong on the key fronts in this regard--intellectually AND organizationally.
It seems to me that many individual ones of us these days are just trying to keep ourselves and maybe a few others out of the proverbial frying pan; we are unable to plan or do anything for the masses.
I agree with what you're suggesting that it will take highly creative people and committed master planners to create and mount an effective offense for the Black masses because it's all about vision and organization. I also wonder how many of us would recognize and/or SUPPORT such individuals if they arose at this point, especially if we didn't like what they were saying.
"we are unable to plan or do anything for the masses"
I disagree totally. There are quite a number of organizations which are proving otherwise:
New Afrikan People's Organization
FTP Movement
P.O.C.C.
New Black Panthers
N.O.I.
Thousands more....
The viability of these organizations is another matter but it is a historical blunder to assume or conclude these organizations do not exist. Many are active within the hip hop community and have ties to groups such as Dead Prez, Public Enemy, Professor Griff, the A-Alikes, etc...
