There must be something to it: loud, brash, arrogant, disrespectful roughnecks get the attention because they scream louder, drowning out too much of any effort to speak to the important issues. The thoughtful stuff gets lost by the wayside as everyone rushes to attempt to address the garbage spouted by the loudmouths. what a waste ...

In that listing of "faults", it looks a lot like the things that folks consider to be faults are sensitivity, caring, giving, gentleness, compassion .... ??????????????????????

where are the psychologists, the sociologists, the physicists? economics (sure, do you really think that "they" are gonna "allow" you to do anything with it?), english, music ... lots of really useful stuff ... provided one wants to go no place ... which seems to be where we are going, where we have been and where we are .... oops! forgot the mba's and entrepreneurial stuff that is gonna get a lot of lip service behind the strained efforts to keep straight faces ...

truth; "it's not what you say, it's how you say it" - how do i say this in such a way that the destructive illogic sinks in?

very very sad ...

`struth: take on not the ways of the oppressor ... particularly if you apply those ways to yourself and each other!
