This one gonna be just how i feel it
No rhyme, rhythm, sonnet or haiku
Could truly begin to capture my mood

What to do when life gets too messy
You want to scream, rant and rave
But you know you ought to behave

What do you do when you just had enough
When life isn't just unfair but plain tough
You see "aints" living high on the horse

When you attempting to tow the line
crossing every t and dotting ever i
And you can't seem to catch a break

I want to scream "God, why me"
But I'm sure this season has a reason
A underlying purpose I can't quite grasp
But that doesn't make it any easier to bear

I am sick and tired of waiting on my turn
I know that if He started a good work in me
That He will complete and perfect it

But my question is
WHEN, shall my time come to past
How long shall I wait

When can I step off the sidelines
And step into the game on the winning side
I don't have to be the star quarterback
I'll settle for being just the kicker
As long as I get my Super Bowl ring

But Father I trust you...
To arrange the situation
For your maximum glory

I don't have to understand to obey
If you have me here me in this mess
Then it must be so that you can bless

So Father I ask you to guide me
Help me to make it through to other side
I know that you grace is more than sufficient
That you can keep me as long as I want to be kept

And even when I want to give up
You will be there pushing me to go further
Go on and see what the end is going to be

So Father I am turning me over to you
For I know you know what is best

In the Spirit of Sankofa!

asimplepoet,

Thank you for this write, it reminds me so of my talk with God. Here is a for instance; Why me Lord, was asked when he gave me the book to write. I could not understand the why. And sometimes now, its the same. Do you want me to get in the game, another question, slow on answering. And so, we (you and I) have had the same issues with God. But it is as you say, trust and wait with patience, he comes thru everytime. We must wait on the Lord, those who sincerely trust him. It has a lot to do with this: We will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season.

You have begun to shout out true feelings to us from the box. With this gesture you touch so many. We need you, and you are a Star Player on the Destee.com team, trust me and believe what I'm saying.

:qqb008:It takes a level of maturity to understand that God has ones best interest in mind. One verse of scripture I keep in my mind (I don't know exactly where it is at the moment) is where David says that his feet well nigh slipped when he saw the prosperity of the wicked, but when he considered their end ... So my friend, you're not the only one who feels this way, and you won't be the last. Consider our own crisis in this country as we speak. Those who were prospering from orrupt practices are having their deeds brought to light ... much to their own shame. So when life seems unfair, and it appears that the right thing to do isn't getting you anywhere ... just wait on God ... you'll be glad you did.:em17:
