this is one of my early poems....tell me what u think!

starin' out the window
mesmerizin' over you boy
nothin' else matters
in this midst of turmoil
its been such a long time
since i've heard you speak
and apparently you love
is not there to compete
i remember the first time
you spoke the three words
my heart was overwhelmed
as your lies calmed my nerves
and somethin' in the back of my mind
told me it was lies
but i just kept pressin' on
stung and hypnotized
now i'm sittin' home alone
slouched upon the chair
wishin' the ringin' sound of the phone
would come upon my ear
each and every time it rings
i pick up and don't hear you
if you really wanted me
you wouldn't leave me so **** confused
