Are there any epic movies or documentaries about Nubia / Egypt, the Dahomey Kingdom, the Asantes, etc?

    Hetep Tim!

From what I hear, there are plans on the table to make film or two about the Carthaginian General Hanibal, and I'm also hearing a buzz about a film being made about the life of the king King Taharqa of Nubia.

    :peace:

My question is, will these movies or documentaries be made by Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) people who have legitimate credibility to tell our TRU-STORY instead of re-inventing the wheel with the version of the 'caucasian-persuasion'?

Not a bad idea. There should also be more historical fiction books with a setting in these civilizations.

There are many writers here... perhaps some should explore this more for future works.

I think they are only making one movie about Hannibal, maybe I'm wrong? I heard Denzel dropped out and Vin Diesel is playing the part, definitely. If I were you I wouldn't count on a MOVIE of all things to give the type of accuracy that will make our people feel better about history.
