the day begins with
the sea resting on
moments of yesterday
piling on the shore;

and still

the breeze begins to
move in ways unknown
to the seagulls who
captures winds for rest

and still

i walk the shores on feet
free from restrictions of
shoes so that i can be one
with the pain covered sands

still

the pains sting my feet but
i continue my walk as the sky
opens up to release deceit
sharpened tears from life

and still

i walk head strong dragging a
splintered filled broom behind
me to wipe away my steps so
others won't be inclined to follow

and still

the rains fill the steps before me
as i patiently walk the path left by
others who fell victim to repeating
the pains of generations before

still

i carry on knowing that when i look
back i see my prints are gone and
the rains have resided to make room
for the rainbow's promise of a quiet

still....
