    Still Standing

    Raped, abused
    Verbally beaten, viciously misused
    Scarred, bruised, torn
    Sexually marred, physically worn
    Mind manipulated, a play toy
Stepped on constantly with devilish joy
But through it all a woman…a black woman none the less
I wake each morning with pride in my hair, my lips, my breasts
In a blond haired, blue-eyed world, I do not pass the test
Still I wake each morning and give the day my best

    Raped, abused
    Verbally beaten, viciously misused
    But still standing

    Stand strong, my sister.

They've done these things 2 defeat U, but it backfired, it's only made U stronger.

Very nice piece, I'm diggin what you're workin' out of.

Praise to the one who wrote this piece :toast:

How did we do it, how do you do it, Black Women. Honestly, I use to be a part of the problem but now I have dedicated my life to understand love and how to live it. Thanks for this work! Peace

    wow

I am so moved by this. What a beautiful testament to your own strength, and the strength of the black woman. Much love for this.
