someplace dreams are made of
Occupation
student, advocate to change the world
(off the dome)

yep.
nose still round--
skin still
deep molasses--

and thoughts still angry from--
deep seated ignorance that don't belong to me--
but
has been
attached to me like--
post hoc

because i am blak
i am
everything u make me be--
u stereotype--
when u should turn your stereo
down
and not type so much--

although my ancestors were
African and I am now--
American--
HOW AM I NOW--
STILL
AFRICAN-AMERICAN

don't hear us calling you--
European Americans...do you?

I am American--
though i have learned to loathe the word--
and hate the stars and stripes--
yet respect them in a sense...

cause
'i can't get no....
reparations--'

though i try and try
to break free of my double conciousness--
thinking back on AMERICA
makes me glad--

i'm still affakin*

I agree & am feelin' this vibe.......

One of the things I'm seeing or recognizing now with a lot of demographics data that I am working with at my job is that caucasions who are also natives of Africa also are checking the box labeled "African American"....... (what a phuckin' new twist this is!!) Ain't that some ****!!

Diggin' the Vibe here Sean!!
