    Without you there's no me

    My life could never be the same
    if you weren't in it in some

    way

    ~~~~shape
    or
    ~~~~~~~~~form

    Holding on to memories just
    won't do anymore

    The feelings aren't real when
    the circumstances change…

    when we change

    You said goodbye in a hurry
    to run to your private solitude
    which offers no human comfort…

    knowing that I would miss you
    dearly

    Your arms were the blanket
    that kept me warm when
    I was cold

    Your smile was that cup of hot
    chocolate that ignited my
    passion when you said you
    loved me and would never
    leave

    Your kiss was the key that
    opened the door to my heart
    as you placed it under the
    mat of my soul

    What can I do?

    What must I say to make you
    understand that I need you to
    be in my life now and always?

    I need you now as I did then

    Your love has been solace for
    my spirit; it hurts when that
    comfort is no longer felt

    Promise you'll be in my life
    forever and never let love die

    Please stay…

    Gentle Of Quality

    I enjoyed reading this beautiful poem. It reminds me of a song by Wayman Tisdale entitled: Stay. Don't know if you like jazz or not, but anyway...keep scribing...I'm enjoying your works.
