    Lost inside your desires
    Of becoming intoxicated with airs
    Other than my breath
    Or
    That of the Creator

    Hazy Vision,
    This physical living
    Got me feeling bound
    To ill filled grounds

Disheartening to exist inside of conflictions within

Divided, knowing that I silence myself when I’m not even a Gemini Twin

    Yet still I’m like a 2-shaded spectrum
One side wanting to share all of my thoughts
    And the other
That knows that what I have to say
Won’t be received as well as I would like

So instead I write and bleed my heart and soul and fear and doubt and pain
Into the confines of a boundless poetikkal plane
    Stars rain
Showers of lights in bursts like fireworks
    My mind’s berserk
And I am stuck like poets with
    Writers block
I stare at clocks -- tick tock, tick tock
    I watch myself break down
Wishing I could sever the ties
Between me and this bad dream
Take me back to the drawing board
    And
    Reconstruct the Qualities
That were too far hidden inside of me
    To find,

I write these lines and wish my Sun
    Would shine wisdom filled rays
    Into my darkness

Solitary confinement got me thinking bout negative things
    Like
    Should we really be together?
You questioning whether or not you’re the man for me because
You say you feel like I’m always
    Disappointed...disappointed...
That statement to me disappoints me
    Cuz it symbolizes defeat
Instead of saying I’ll work to be more considerate and meet you half way
    Instead you’d walk away?

    Leavin’ me in a disarray

Leaving me with this heavy feeling of dismay

    I scream Stay
You hear the echoes of my voice
    Even though you’re miles away

    I’ll compromise
Cuz happiness is all I want
    So instead of finding fault

I dull my sharp feelings of doubt and discontent

Like the end of the blunt you smash into the ashes tray

    Still the ashes will remain

Still some feelings in me remain

Feelings that something just ain’t right

She blocks the sounds of the voice from within
That tells her she should find a way to convince him
That love is never lost or spread too thin
That tells her she should not ignore the unhappiness within
That love for self must come before loving him
That tells her she should resolve the problems that exist within
That love will always stand but doesn’t always win
That tells her she needs to hear heart’s feelings within
Instead of disregarding, she needs to
    Start listening...

    my Sista/Poet/Queen...

I've been reading your verses for days and am never disappointed. (ohh how you sat me bolt-upright with the lines about "disappointment"!!!) Loved everything you spoke...especially that awesome "epilogue".

You come from the heart and soul .. ain't nothing contrived or trite about your write!

    thank you so much
