Perhaps the Pope shamed him. Either way, where's the bubbly? I'm ready to celebrate!

I have to admit that a pope shunning the politicians, and eating with the homeless is a first. As for Boehner, I think he realize that the GOP's actions were getting out of hand. So he tried to get in back close to the middle and they turned on him. It's like letting a child run wild for year, then trying to reel that child in, in a short span of time.

    Peace!

I think he felt convicted. That's a hard thing to overcome especially when you KNOW you're doing wrong. The Pope made him feel that way. I'm glad for him that he walked away and resigned.

I'm so happy that the message of Pope Francis got to Boekner and inspired him to look inward and see the injustice of his party.
He's a very sensitive man, and I applaud him for his decision.
