Where the Niger meets the Nile

Author
This scribe wa scribbled for a friend who knew me and loved me before I underwent the operation that restored my hearing after twelve years of profound deafness.

Sound

When I was a ghost
imploding in silence
My mind fed on regurgitations of life
Brimmed over with old stuff to share
Like a fountain in a park
Where the people use their pennies for the bus

When I was asleep
I thought I was awake
Until I really did wake up
And realized I'd been asleep

You really don't know
What your words have meant to me

When I was a ghost
A solid word anchored me in reality
When I was asleep
An eye to eye encounter
Rocked me in comfort
Roused me to love

wow!!!

I can only imagine.....
This was beautiful River...
Hope I'm not getting too personal, I know a word was the first thing you heard, but how did it make you feel?...and can you hear all sounds?...Are the sounds always clear?...
SMH...you tell me a lil about your life and I run with it...lol...but I truly wish the best for you, and pray that all you do will prosper.
