Out of my soul into my mind thoughts running clear
Things on my mind can’t find a listening ear

So from my mind down my arm with a pen in my grip
I get this ink to speak for me so I don’t move my lips

This paper makes this pen bleed like it cut my soul
As the words form begin to see the form of my soul

I tell my thoughts to this paper cause it doesn’t judge just listens
Never throws anything back in my face no matter the condition

So from my soul to my mind to my pen to this pad
I talk about all these feeling I had happy or sad who else gonna listen when I feel so **** bad

Lips hold back but this pen goes full blast
This ink gets the first word second and last

So I write this pain, anger, sometimes joy
From first page to last read how a man came from a boy

Cause the road was hard each page is a street sign
Don’t want to go back so I look at the pages and remind

So I remind my mind of a place and time where I made mistakes filled with anger and hate
At this rate you might read this book and put my sanity up for debate

This paper holds no punches everything at full swing
You just gotta understand the peace of mind this brings

So I write as I fight till someone ring the bell
Cause it only matters to me if I win or fail

So I write this soul to paper till I’m on my last breath
Cause when this life is over my soul goes home this paper will be all that is left

Still Standing
