Looking in the eys of a soul less child
Is a sad sad thing
The realization of life and death
The inevitability of the hear and now
The exact moment of the unveiling
No there is no Santa
Sometimes love doesn’t last forever
Death
Decit
Heartbreak
All the ways of the world
Innocence gone forever
That thin line between
The ignorance of Childhood
And the cynical knowledge of an adult
Knowing that what was
Can never be again
Ignorance is truly bliss
I wish
I wish
I wish
I was that child again
Full of soul
Full of innocence
Full of fantasy and delight
Firmly secure behind my rose colored glasses
I remember that moment
I lost the soul of my childhood
When the innocence was replaced
By the harsh reality of my adult life
The hurts , the loss , the gut wrenching grief
That can befall those who care
Looking in the eys of a soul less child
Is a sad sad thing
