Counselor
we’re impatient
self-absorbed
vessels of clay
with the audacity
to sometimes
question the handiwork
of the Potter
even second-guessing
His purpose for our
use…
many times
head strong,
going headlong into
darkness…blinded
by our desires
forgetting that our
every need has always
been supplied
we go off, in our haste
impatient, erring
children
bound for a destination
unknown
working it out on our own
ignorant/disobedient, we
even think we
right
when we just
dead wrong
take on too much
in the rush
and under the pressure
we break
but gently,
piece by piece
we are restored to
our original beauty
for Love’s sake
by the loving Hands
by our Lord and Savior
who always comes through
in spite of our behavior
