Black Poetry : Sometimes I Forget

Kiwanda,

I think you have finally crossed that bridge to communicating your own particular richness and warmth in a longer free-er Form.. How does it feel?

Like love, James. Like love.

If my longer form is evolving it is in part because of you. And no, I am not trying to placate you or stroke your ego. It's the honest to goodness truth. You know how much I value your artistic worth. Most times before I write I play your voice and your words of encouragement in my head, put the earphones on...and well...you know the rest. It doesn't hurt that I am truly feeling someone, either. (smile)

I have yet to write passed my comfort zone, though. Sometimes I feel the best stanzas for some of my work are the ones I refused to write. I will work on that.

Thank you, James.
Sincerely

Kiwanda
