    God
Can something that was taken away
Be given back to me ?
    My heart feels so empty
    Without you
    Sorrow dwells deep within
    So much time has passed
I’ve tried to fill the hole
That the loss of you created
    And I have
    With tears
    And sorrow
    And shame
    And soul wrenching pain
For a time …..I lost my mind
    Insanity settled
    Where peace once dwelled
Unaware of the world around me
Consumed with the loss of you
Death came and visited our home
    And left behind
    Empty pockets of darkness
    But I never realized
That the wound ran so deep
And the pain stretched so wide
    If only I could have
    just one last kiss
    just one more day
    just one last night
Just to hear you say one last time “ I love you”
    Just one last tear
Every now and then I can glimpse
From the corner of my soul
    The love in your eyes
I can hear a whisper of your laugh
    Deep within my heart
    One day
    Someday
    God willing
    Today
I am going to see you again
And then I will hold on so tight
    So long
    So hard
    So……
    God
Can something that was taken away
    Be given back
    To me ?

    mysteries of life and death
    we can't understand
    the purpose unfathomable
    yet God's comfort is unlimited
and he will hold you and never let you go
    healing the heart and mind
giving you the strength to carry on
    such is his Love

This was deeply moving, and very well scribed. I think the answer lies somewhere in all the comments on this page and in the memories to come.
