Obama Admin and media to hype ‘Ebola outbreak’ simultaneously as a full-scale FEMA pandemic exercise is carried out Nov. 13 in NYC, NJ — Crisis actors, role players to be used

Update: The editor of Intellihub News, Shepard Ambellas, made his way inside an actual FEMA conference call today for 10 minutes before officials discovered he was connected to the call. This call was regarding the upcoming FEMA pandemic drill taking place in NYC and other areas of FEMA Region II.

During the call Shepard was able to capture some chatter as follows:

“University of Vermont is an option”
    “Burlington”
They were talking about “cross border objectives”.
    “Atlantic City”
“Jersey South Shore to Cape May”

After this info was logged FEMA ended the transmission with Shepard.

NEW YORK & NEW JERSEY (INTELLIHUB.COM) — A massive 2-year long pandemic “continuity exercise” is nearing “stage three” of five on November 13th, going live in “New York City” and “other locations”, according to new documents and audio/video recordings uncovered by Intellihub News.

Shockingly, in a jaw dropping admission, a FEMA official was caught telling role players during a live webinar session that FEMA plans to use people’s fears of “Ebola” and what has “been reported in the news” to “drive” this realtime “full-scale” event.

“I will also take the time to say now, we were very aware of all the responses we are getting that Ebola is very high on people’s attention list. And so rest assured we have taken a lot of the things that are actually happening with the Ebola crisis and factored them into the exercise. They are just under the cover of you know, what would happen during a pandemic. So we have actually taken things that we have seen, things that have been reported in the news, things that we’ve heard from partners and made sure that we are going to get a chance and deal with those actions.”, stated a FEMA official conducting a pandemic “master scenario” webinar presentation for role players, i.e. crisis actors, privy to details of the exercise.

    The agencies involved
According to FEMA, “The Federal Executive Boards in New York City and Northern New Jersey in partnership with FEMA Region II, The Department of Health and Human Services Region II, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and the Clearing House Association are sponsoring” the drill.

    [...]

The exercise objectives are to mitigate vulnerabilities during a pandemic influenza outbreak; to identify gaps or weaknesses in pandemic planning or in organization pandemic influenza continuity plans, policies, & procedures; and encourage public and private organizations to jointly plan for, and test, their pandemic influenza plans.

Other key players involved with planning and research may be but are not limited to the following people/organizations:

    • Wendy Panella/Robert Desiato, AT&T
    • Andrew Chen, US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
    • Eugene Buerkle, National Grid
    • Lance Plyler, MD, Samaritan’s Purse – Africa Based NGO
    • Nicholas V. Cagliuso, Sr., PhD, MPH, New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation
Interestingly, a “final planning meeting” for agency and firm “lead controllers” and “evaluators” will be held just one week ahead of the live full-scale event at 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY, conference room, starting at 9 am on Nov. 6-7.

The remaining dates of the 2-year long exercise will play out as follows:

    • November 13, 2014: Pandemic Influenza Wave 1 Full Scale Exercise
      • 9:00am EST StartEx / 3:30pm EST Endex
      • Location: Your Agency / Firm
    • November 20, 2014: Pandemic Influenza Wave 2 Full Scale Exercise
      • 9:00am EST StartEx / 3:30pm EST Endex
      • Location: Your Agency / Firm
    • December 1-3, 2014: Pandemic Influenza Recovery / Reconstitution Tabletop Exercise and Pandemic Accord Hotwash (to also include feedback on Wave 1 and Wave 2) – The same session will be repeated over 3 consecutive days to accommodate the number of participants. The event layout is similar to the 2013 PandemicAccord Exercise, dial-in/WebEx capabilities will be made available to those that are unable to attend live. (Please attend only 1 date)
      • 8:30am EST Registration
      • 9:00am EST StartEx / Hotwash 2:30 pm / 4:00pm EST Endex
      • Location: 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY Conference Room A/B or Conference Call 800-320-4330; pin 528585#
It is also worthy to note that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is concerned about how telecommunications will hold up if such a pandemic outbreak were to actually occur as they expect phone lines to be jammed up by bedridden and quarantined people along with health workers trying to do their jobs. This hypothetical is also set to be included and evaluated in the exercise and may in fact be what prompted the recent unannounced takeover of various television sets followed by an “emergency alert” announcement from the White House on Oct. 24 as reported by Paul Joseph Watson, Infowars.com.

In the report titled White House Emergency Alert Interrupts Viewers Across America, Watson wrote:

Americans watching television across the country were puzzled earlier today when an alert from the White House interrupted their viewing, told them to stand by for an emergency message and warned them not to use their phones.

TV channels automatically changed to local news stations but no White House message ever came, prompting confusion and concern, especially given heightened tensions amidst the Ebola crisis.

I don't buy into all of the idea that this is legit or not, but just like to share some of this stuff instead of being a reactionary.

If and when this comes and goes, so be it.

Just tossing it out as this should not worry anyone one way or the other.

    Will update accordingly

By the way, this report was from a few days ago:

Ebola in Sierra Leone is 'spreading nine times faster than two months ago', campaigners warn

    3 November 2014

Cases of Ebola in Sierra Leone are still rising quickly, campaigners have warned.

In rural parts of the country, the virus is spreading nine times faster than two months ago, a report from the Africa Governance Initiative (AGI) found.

AGI - an organisation set up by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair – said rates are also increasing in the capital Freetown, with six times more new cases recorded per day than two months ago.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...onths-ago-campaigners-warn.html#ixzz3IId4mb00

Reminds me of the "war game drills" that were happening on September 11, 2001 that were exactly identical with what happened... Cynthia McKinney wasn't supposed to have received this information and an awkward back and forth occurred between her and the DOD, Rumsfield, and associated parties.

The movie seems to be getting ready for the "action scenes"

Let's hope this is not the case and nobody is stupid enough to still go through with this after supposedly being exposed before-hand.

    Stay woke

PANDEMIC ACCORD: 2013-14 Pandemic Influenza Continuity Exercise

Pandemic influenza is a global outbreak of disease that occurs when a new influenza virus appears or “emerges” in the human population causing serious illness, as it spreads from person to person worldwide. History teaches us that the impact of a pandemic can be far-reaching. The 1918 “Spanish Flu” influenza killed approximately 30,000 people in NYC, 500,000 in the United States and as many as 50 -100 million worldwide. Furthermore, it leads to widespread social disruption and economic loss.

Pandemic influenza is unique in that, unlike many other catastrophic events, it will not directly affect physical infrastructure. While a pandemic will not damage power lines, banks, or computer networks, it will ultimately threaten all critical infrastructures by its impact on an organization’s human resources causing a loss essential personnel from the workplace for weeks or months.- National Strategy for Pandemic Influenza Implementation Plan (May 2006).

Economists, epidemiologists and other experts predict that the effects of a modern-day pandemic will be seen in every industry and government agency at local, regional, national and international levels. Typically a pandemic influenza will come in “waves” each lasting 6-8 weeks with several months between each wave. The CDC estimates that between 15%-35% of the United States population could be affected by pandemic influenza and the economic impact could range between $71.3 and $166.5 billion (2006 estimates).

The Federal Executive Boards in New York City and Northern New Jersey in partnership with FEMA Region II, The Department of Health and Human Services, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and the Clearing House Association are sponsoring a two year series of pandemic influenza continuity exercises - tabletop exercise 2013, full scale exercise 2014 - to increase readiness for a pandemic event amongst Federal Executive Departments and Agencies, US Court, State, tribal, local jurisdictional and private sector continuity.

But regardless, this looks like a harmless internal drill the is to go full scale next week to test continuity.

Just better not hear any news reports about passengers on a cruise ship getting sick and docking in NY.

Bad enough the reporters can't tell the difference between actual events, drills and tv shows:

    Almost forgot about this story:

Ebola Scare Sends Caribbean Cruise Ship Back Home
    Oct 17, 2014, 3:40 PM ET

The presence of a woman who helped care for an Ebola patient who died has left a Caribbean cruise ship unable to dock at foreign tourist ports and is now heading back to Texas.

One passenger said the announcement of the woman's presence has created "utter panic" on the Carnival Magic cruise ship, while others remained outwardly unfazed, sunbathing by the outdoor pool.

Kaiser Permanente Chairman Bernard Tyson On The 'Kaiserfication' Of America

    September 30, 2014

Bernard Tyson, who became chairman of Kaiser Permanente earlier this year, has spent 30 years with the Oakland, Calif.-based HMO. At the Health 2.0 conference last week, he cut a dapper figure in black pinstripes, with a gold Rolex on one wrist, a black Jawbone Up fitness tracker on the other—a nod perhaps to the tech-savvy crowd that came to listen to him.

I caught up with Tyson, and asked him to offer advice to hospitals that are buying physician practices, forming accountable care organizations where compensation is based on a patient’s outcome, and launching in some cases health plans to capture revenue. Increasingly, hospitals are looking to offer health insurance, which former White House health policy adviser Ezekiel Emanuel notably dubs “Kaiserfication.” The Advisory Board Company estimates there are more than 200 hospital-sponsored health plans. In a 2013 survey of hospitals, 21% said they plan to offer insurance over the next 5 years.

Kaiser, which reported $53 billion in revenue last year, has been there, done that. Hundreds of hospital executives visit Kaiser Permanente each year to study its ways. “They leave depressed,” says Tyson, daunted by Kaiser’s technological prowess and vaunted quality of care. Here’s some of his advice:

1- Don’t tell physicians how to practice

More than half of doctors are now employed by hospitals, spurred by health care reform and the move away from fee-for-service. Diminished autonomy can ultimately breed resentment. Kaiser, which runs 38 hospitals, doesn’t employ its 18,000 physicians. It contracts exclusively with Permanente Medical Groups (there are seven) to provide care for its 9.5 million members through capitated payments. (Only 8% of Kaiser’s revenue comes from fee-for-service). “It’s a self-governed model in which the pressure point is coming through their [physician] colleagues,” says Tyson.

Over 18,000 California Kaiser Permanente Nurses Plan to Strike over Ebola

    November 9, 2014

Starting November 11, some 18,000 nurses from Northern California will embark on a two-day strike over equipment and what they claim are improper training standards for handling Ebola.

The walkout would affect 21 hospitals and 66 clinics owned by Kaiser Permanente, based in Oakland, said Charles Idelson, a spokesman for National Nurses United, according to Bloomberg News.

On social media, the hashtag #NursesFightEbola highlights many of the nurse's concerns.

A press release from National Nurses United, a nurses' union, sent out a petition urging Congress and President Obama to mandate hospitals protect nurses and healthcare workers. In it, the nurses request "full-body HazMat suits that are body fluid, blood and virus impervious" and "hands-on interactive training on proper donning and doffing."

The release further states that "Kaiser has shown a complete disregard for the safety of nurses and patients in the face of a disease that the World Health Organization calls the 'most severe acute health emergency in modern times,' said Deborah Burger, RN, co-president of NNU and a Kaiser nurse. 'We will not be silent while Kaiser puts all of us, our families, and our communities, at risk.'"

Several other states have planned strikes next week as well, Bloomberg notes. On November 11, 800 nurses at two non-Kaiser Northern California hospitals will also strike. And another strike taking place that same day in Washington will affect 400 nurses.

"The union says Kaiser is not doing enough to protect nurses and other workers against the Ebola virus. Kaiser denies that claim and says all of its facilities will remain open during the nurses strike."

Kaiser said that it was the NNU, however, that was to blame for stalled negotiations. We are training our staff on how to use the right protective gear, to make sure they know how to use it,” spokesman John Nelson said, according to Bloomberg. “We have repeatedly asked union leadership to work with us on our Ebola strategy. They have refused. Instead, they continue to hold press conferences claiming hospitals are unprepared for Ebola.”

The strike is expected to affect more than 55 Kaiser hospitals and clinics. Kaiser Permanente and the nurses' union have been in contract talks since July, but organizers of this strike say they're focusing on safety standards.

Not sure how NY will handle something like this, as crazy is normal just on public transit.

We can subjectively conclude that this was some sort of dramatic stage performance for the sake of facetiousness, but then again...

Crazy just cannot really be calculated from a sane point of view
