sprawls cold and naked ahead/

6.30 wake up call/

i self eject like toasted bread from the bed/

sidle sideways to the left/

dreams dreamt/

now sadly swiftly disconnect/

i wind up into the getting-it-together routine/

wash face, long held power piss, baby bum clean/

i invision that today/

i want for something meaningful/

four hours later plan goes quite askew/

i’m heading to town to look around the nothing new shopping run/

a leaden frown hastily develops/

as i drown in the youthfulness of the swarm/

the untruthfulness of it all envelopes/

i’m destined like all the others to regularly draw myself away from evilness/

many outskirts fulfill the need to flirt with the seduction of plastic purchases/

the drastic cursory nature of the consumer puma/

unscrupulous in its stalking/

looming ready to pounce/

‘i need to get my ounce of the pie/

will i ever rid myself of this mantra before i die/

tears of money rain from palm to palm trying to cleanse/

and assist us to feel whole/

but on the whole a hole/

an emptiness/

is left/

what i consume leaves me bereft/

a state of real undress/

is what we need/

One love like Marley sang/

is what my mind bleeds/
