The Book Of Negroes is a historical document with some 3,000 recorded names and descripts about kidnapped, African slaves who served the British Army, then subsequently added to a list and then sailed by the British to Nova Scotia as freedmen from Manhattan.
At 9pm on 7 January 2015, CBC in Canada (eg. on BET in February 2015) will air the 6-part miniseries --for the first time --about the struggles and triumphs of Aminata Diallo (eg. her name was europeanized to Meena Dee) --a midwife and daughter a jeweler in near Segu, West Africa.
Because eye know that the so-Called jews were 40% up to their elbows in slavery (eg. financing ships, trading/selling slaves, running plantations replete with slave) ---eye was not surprised when eye learned that one Solomon Lindo ---a so-Called Jew, was her massa.

The starring cast includes Lyriq Bent, Aunjanue Ellis, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Lou Gossett, Jr., Ben Chaplin, Allan Hawco and Jane Alexander. The series was inspired from Lawrence Hill's (eg. a Canadian Writer) best selling (eg. it sold nearly one million copies) 2007 novel entitled "Someone Knows My Name" (eg. the name was changed, because the Canadian writer discovered that the US has a different take on the word n-e-g-r-o than does Canada.) The list of honors include:

    1. Writer's Trust Fiction Prize in 2007
    2. The Commonwealth Writers' Prize in 2008
    3. CBC's Canada Reads in 2009
    4. Nathaniel Dett Chorale added the musical accompanyment in 2012
