    This Land ain’t your land
    This land ain’t our land
    Stolen from the red man
Built up by the Black Man
    Exploited was the yellow man
Still getting’ is the greedy man
This land ain’t made for you and me
This land ain’t made for you and me
    Somebody died
So, I can get a piece
    Of this American Pie
But my slice is so thin
    Somebody gotta die again
    I am she
    That ain’t me
    Can’t be free
    Ebonically
    Categorically
    Call me ***** *****
    That’s a better fit
    It cuts deep like rifts
Of middle passage trips and slavery grips
Historical documents of never being free
It is the sleeveless shirt which clothes the curse
Of a people underdressed in poverty
It is the land of the Black hand scarred and bruised
It is the red white and blue
Not to include the colored Negro
Who sold it’s birthright to fight for a nation
That can never love dem ******
Battle scars left on “want to be hard”
    Generational classless clowns
    The under ground journey lost
The cost for freedom left unpaid
Ain’t nobody down to lay a new found nation
A heritage strayed deep off rooted family trees
    Climbing on the backs
Of one another to hang themselves
Cool breeze feels better than People of Power
    So the love potion sours
While the penitentiary towers rise wide and high
Higher than the hustler’s best dope supply
Higher than the rate of Black on Black homicide
    Projects complete a task and
Unmask a legion of nomads roam
A home is built on the land one loves
    If you homeless
Love is the last thing you think of
    You don’t even love yourself
    No love to make
Only what you can take and make and rape
We are crying for the dying
    Those who’s souls
Know no place to rest in peace
    Many died for the pride
Wanting something they could ever have
Many cry for the lie is still being told
Many try to hide the fact
Going Black doesn’t need a role model
    See, You
    Sitting on twenty two rims
    An octane throttle
    I just wanna be free
    Yeah yeah
Many tossed caution to the wind
Can’t remember how to transcend to distant lands
Pretend they can’t hear the ancestor’s voices
    Kissing wisdom in their ears
Chasing blunt lick and ecstasy pleasures
We don’t need to know each others name
Unknown by the man who knows not spirit
    Ain’t it a shame you ain’t scared
One can only fear what one does not understand
    I can’t understand this
A womb man I can not be
If God cannot reach the rib from Blackness of man
    Made so perfectly
    To stand over me
    Although better by my side
He can not love anyone except himself
    Refusing to even do that
I am trapped holding the baggage of fool’s gold
Watching His story hold on tight my destiny
A flight I long forgotten how to soar
I ignore my ancestors have wings to carry me
Too blind to see where I have left them dying
The crying out of a people
Too powerful to fall for false proclamations
    Demonstrations of revolution
    have become behaviors unlearned
Who needs hell raised when I burn today

    I am she
Created in the very image of God
Forgotten I am shod in peace
Master must be pleased with the whoredom
His Story of slavery created where I come from
Have therefore given more than was taken long ago
Souls carry casualties until spirit is devoured and consumed
Retrospective remains of what’s left of us
    Failure to heal
    It is our Ancestors’ wound.

    I am she
Carried me a thousand miles across unknown seashores
    Laid flat Black for lovers
    Who only adored the whore
    They needed me to become
Come from tribes who deny they gave me away
    For trade
A war game I never knew how to play
I have been cheated out of the way
These hips sing praise to rites of passages
To that ***** who has to fight the next *****
If her liter and mine don’t get along
    A freedom song ain’t ****
It ain’t gonna make me rich
If I can’t spit venomous hip hop lyrics
Slide down poles to make all the hard *****
    Let it rain
    It ain’t the same
Like how my name keeps changing
    Still remembers
    Call me *****

    I am she

    Some Call It...

But I can't call it! Just know that freedom is a right that is worth fighting for. When do we kno we are free? When we stop asking are we truly FREE....The obvious should not be so invisible. Yet, the "so called" unseen (internalized racism, systemactic injustices) resonate caught up all day long to me, and that ain't freedom

The land that caters to the greedy, and God help you, if you're needy. My sister you told the story, raw, the way it should be told. Great write.
