A soldier rhymes to past the time it's like
Boot camp spit & shine alright
    Friendly fire!
    Psyche, it's time to write
    I'm hyped...
    Men will die tonight

    Word is born...
    Newbie kids delight
    If this kicks ~
    The baby lives to fight

Man alive if that don't fly your kite
    Visualize....
    Might night vision bite?

I guess that is what life is like to a soldier, not knowing if it will be their turn to die tonight or not. Thanks for giving us something else to ponder poet.

Ok my brotha, I must be honest I didn't quite understand this piece. I had to read it twice and I still don't get it, however, it is something about this piece that I like, if that makes sense. Maybe it's the flow or the fact that it makes me think about it. Whatever it is I like it. So flow on!

your poems are so deep, and ENTERTAINING, they just have that level of wisdom, sometimes sarcasm in each one.

Brother, can we get down in those verbal trenches together
forge the front line, side by side...
Sound the trumpet and drop the flag
Poetic soldiers bringing words to life
    until the ink cries...
    the lines collide
    and mans consciousness is tried
and the power of poetry...can longer be denied

Can we give it try... :kickball:

    Love this flow poet!

    Sister Angelicsage,

    Not only could we...
It is our poetic responsibility to fight back
Sitting-in side by side on a bandstand of brass. :hearthis:
