Today I need to
find solace so deep
within your arms
that I hear the ocean
talk to me in surround sound
because the sounds that
surround me are not that of
peace but many pieces
of chaos combined to
form a chain that
connects me to life's
anvil burying me
into the tears of a dying
sun...my body is
weak my spirit fatigued
and my voice mute
.....muted tones of
fallen leaves leave me
fallen before the altar
asking God why the
season of circumstance
has changed to this....
circumcision has left the
trees bare and my
thoughts are subject
to observation and judgment
....convicted to time behind
burnt out stars and listening
to out of tune Xylophone bars
that pronounce sadness
and I dance off beat beaten
tired and looking for your
arms to get lost in.
