I want to be the softness of your cheeks
And the warmth of your mouth

I wonder if this is what loving you should be
Like eating hot sweet potato pie and you loving it
Tell me
Does the smoothness of satin rest in your kiss
Is your whisper soft and alluring
Like waves that drift ashore
Does your hand hold the pressure of solitude
I was just wondering down the hallways of my imagination
Tonight I will teach you a scripture
The verses are very simple.
It is in her nature to chase after her feelings
If you asked her she couldn’t explain it
Except to say
I was created to walk under the shades of his palm trees
To be covered by him
And rest in his embrace
I must sit with him
He keeps me cool
I must trace the marks of his root
I am fulfilled in his arch
Without him
There would be no need to want
Now I settle in the thought of you
My arms wrapped tightly
Yet gently around you
You are relaxed in my embrace
Asleep, secure in the future
So at peace with it all…….
I searched for you to today
In the footsteps of others
Hoping it would lead me to your feet
I am content to love you from afar
And to trace your footprints

as i lace my soul upon ya spirit
and kiss the winds of thy lips
and walk unto the path u laid
in the roads of sweetness
each footnote made like melodies
singing in my heart
i want to embrace you everlasting
where it cascade abuntely
upon this golden journey
within my doorway of many morrows
i stand before u gracefully
for our temple gates open in rejoice
for the love untamed
see i walked looking for u in hope
that i see u through my own slumber
when i know not of you but feel u
from da orbs of ya self inner acts
i know u there to be held
on every breath i hear aloud
