Black Poetry : so now i am feeling all pure

so now i am feeling all pure
but slightly reckless
and happy, yes, happy
because i am no longer straddling a fence
and on top of that, my heart is in a good place
so outside of writing poetry
ordering some chinese egg rolls
helping my sons with their homework
what is my next move?

is it a slow groove
is it listening to some downloads
is it lying in bed next to you with my legs wrapped around yours
is it kissing your dark skin
is it making love to you free from sin
i dunno, let me start again

i have prayed and prayed for this release
and finally it came to me
on a bed of roses
after being torn for so long
my prayers were answered
a mutual understanding
how cool is that

so let me get these egg rolls
let me sit down next to you
see how your day was
watch you smile and rest in the comfort
of your love

thats whut fam is all about..the little stuff....im happy to know that you get to enjoy the simple pleasures of having a family and being able to feel good about it...most families out there(like mine) for instance fight over the lil stuff,but to me the little stuff is whut you'll always remember....like helping your children do their homework....or just chillin' in your bedroom eatiNg an eggroll while ya man is smoking a j and both a yall just cracking up over whut yall are watchin on the tube....to dimming the lights and gettin you romance on......thats exactly whut i want when i start up my own fam and this piece right here just gave me the ultimate inspiration...thanx love....
