he came to me like
a thousand feathered kisses on my lashes
and i let him light upon me
gently

i told him i couldn't stand
for too much more

miracle worker that he is
he gave me so much more

made me rock and reel
like a sinewy palm waving
in his windstorm

i told him i seriously couldn't stand
for any more, for sure

he smiled at me,
with eyes that illuminated
my whole being

i promised him, i really, really
couldn't stand for
this - not another minute!

without a word
he held his arms outstretched
and opened all his love to me

my knees gave way
.....

Dear Sister Poet Alyce,

Lovely. I hope you take what I am about to type as a compliment because it is meant to be one. There are few poems that I read that I say to myself I wish I had written that, this my friend, is one such poem. I felt this everywhere within that could feel. Breath-taking.
