    The depth of God's love
    Is in embedded
    In the smile
    Of a handicapped child.

    If you can't smile back,
    Your compassion is trapped.
    Tell me then, my friend,
    Who is handicapped?

Whoa! The depth of this piece is astounding, and strikes a cord. Not to mention it really makes the reader think. It brought back a memory of a child I knew growing up who was handicapped. Yet through it all, the taunts, the jokes, and the pain, she always wore a smile. Because her heart was pure. And I often wondered, if it was she or us who were truly handicapped. This piece brought it all back to me.

Got me all misty eyed, I need a tissue.
