    I've been away for awhile
    momentary displacement
the riches and the new found rights
I packed my carpet bag and moved on
passed the sights of your blind eyes

I 've been away for awhile and I refuse to return until
    you recognize me
open your delusional minds and mystified eyes
you are not free ,slavery times two
complacent is what your civil rights brought you

They now allow you to roam around freely and out of mere stupidity
    you vicariously live in slavery
your on actions are your chains ,mental lashings
    ignorance is your master

    selling your sistah/brutha
teaching the young minds of immorality
    sex and violence
all so that you can receive the almighty dollar
There is no master that rapes our woman and beat our men
There is no master that separates the Black Family
There is no master that want allow us to read
It is the Black face that I see that rape our woman of their virtue and self-respect
It is Black faces that separate or refuse to create the foundation of the Black Family
It is a Black hand that beat the Black man
It is Black that I see that want allow Black's to achieve

I 've been gone for awhile almost forty years
My departure was soon after the death of Martin and Malcolm ,the release of Mandela
Segregation made Blacks hungry to strive and achieve
Integration made Blacks complacent and destructive
Yes , I left awhile ago
I couldn't stand to see the deteration of a once Great people

    Ignorance and low class glorified
    gold teeth ,platinum weaves
    dysfunctional households
children with no one to teach them the "Dream "
    Anger and bitter hostility
I can not come back in the mist of all that
There is no place for me

The times we cried ,the times we prayed, and the times we marched
    you did it through me
    Unity

    Blessed be thine eyes
    especially the third
    that spit words uncontestable
    indigestable to some
for they know not where they came from
    nor ancestry
    cause they overlooked (His)Story
that revealed there was a switch in glory
Sometimes you must rival with the Bible
    to see the light
but in days of money power
    we create what's right
    and the acceptance of
    foreign spiritual doctines
    still amazes me
    and remain to be
    the pepetuatation of mental slavery....

Of course you hit my mind's eye and I just had to reply. First, you get props for the topic, then for how you dropped it. And it's Unity that you speak of and it is just that -that can change the world. We remain separated, even my reply was an element of separation because we are too concerned with who we want to be or like, than to be ourselves. So I had to let you know that I LOVED IT -and I bow to you and pour libations for our ancestors on behalf of you. Holla.
