Say it with your unrivaled technique
You are truly the envy of the whole world
From ancient times to modern times...
Your voices...
Your strong voices...
Utterances as divine as the sound of wind chimes
The poems...
The prose...speaking of the simplicity and complexity of the beauty of
The rose
Speaking of heroism and courage
You have the world listening

Speak Sister Speak

You have birthed nation after nation
Our leaders and our royal kings
Amazing you are because when the sisters speak
The Universe...the cosmos....they sing
And they rejoice...rejoicing the sounds of your voices
With almighty praise....and so
We give you praise
With our arms extended to the heavens we give you praise
Strength that is unsurpassed and...
A shining example for the masses
Of our people
We listen for from your mouth comes wisdom
Knowledge
Understanding
From your strong oratory comes power

Speak Sister Speak

The way you speak and your delivery
Is the tenth wonder of the world
Sojourner Truth spoke truthfully
Maya Angelou speaks inspirationally
Nikki Giovanni speaks artistically
Gwendolyn Brooks speaks poetically
Angela Davis speaks politically
Sonia Sanchez speaks so creatively and...
Coretta Scott King spoke so regally
That's only a few that can speak
There are many more....so many stars in this universe
So many constellations
The Black Woman, boy, can she speak

Speak Sister Speak

Nerfertiti was a renowned queen
The sister did speak
Like Queen Nzinga
Like Queen of Sheba
Like Queen Hatsheput
Get the picture?
These sisters ruled....they spoke
Bringing forth energy that was no joke
The sisters are outspoken
Many are soft spoken
But their resolve is never unbroken
These past and present ones
These wonderful women-folk
For they have told of the flowing of the waters of Babylon
Weaved tales of cities buried beneath the sands of the Kilimanjaro
She
Is
A perfect twin to the majesty of the Pharaoh

My Queens of today...they speak
Sisters...
We real men love you
Need you
Support you
We salute you
We hear you sister we hear you

This is s wonderful drop
It is so uplifting and filled with the joy
of understanding some of the things we as sisters want
from our brothers
Your flow tells me that our brothers are at our side
And don't let a few who don't understand
Stop our voice from being heard. Tremendous
I love the vibe it has given me.
