Sisters HATE Seeing Brothers With White Chicks ...

but Sisters chemically alter themselves and their Daughters (their hair) to be like white women.

    Wassup with this??

Is this a mental condition that Sisters just can't see ... talking out of both sides of our mouths?

Brother ShemsiEnTehuti shared the following video in another thread, highlighting a different issue, but it stood out so boldly to me ... that these Sisters are complaining about the Brother with the white chick ... talking about he's scared of a Strong Black Woman ... yet nary a one of them have their own natural hair! How strong can a Black Woman be, while simultaneously hating and altering herself?! Almost every single one of the Sisters in this clip, have longer, straighter hair than the white chick they are complaining about.

How can Sisters hate seeing a Brother with a white woman, yet spend her hard earned money trying to become one?

Is it just me ... or is there some blinding, deep rooted, psychological dysfunction driving Black Women?

We hate seeing you with her, but we wanna be like her?

Do we really hate it, or do we really love it?

    Looking forward to your thoughts.

    I dunno....

I do straighten my hair and wear the silky straight sometimes. When I can't afford my braids, lol. I also can understand your point because it is very valid. On the other hand, I cannot understand why straightening my hair means I want to be like white. I rock all types of hairstyles, from straight to curly to when I went nuts and shaved my hair off. I have done it all. I just fail to believe I want to be anything like White. Why does it mean I hate myself because I choose to wear my hair in a myriad of styles. So, if you would please enlighten me on how this occurs because of the way I wear my hair I would appreciate it. I might change my views and go natural forevermore. :)

My grandmother is Black and Portugese and some of her grandchildren(it skipped me, lol) were born with straight red hair and they like to wear their hair curly. Even though they were not genetically made with curly hair. What does this say about them?

Lawdy...why am I all up in this thread?
I seen this video some time ago, can't remember if it was on here or not, however, when I seen it...I had to re-view it a few times.
In as much as I hate seeing a black man with a white woman, I equally felt for the brother in the video. His statements was deep, yet on the other hand, I wouldn't go as far to say that black woman want to really be like white women.
Think about this, many years ago, we were only viewing white women on the T.V. screen, on the Movie screen and all the broadway plays. Our Grandmother's killed our mother's hair (frying it) to what they viewed as being or making them look pretty, ...in turn, our mother's fried our hair, for what? ...to make us look pretty as the white folks.
In other words, to me, it's conditioning. It's only in recent years did we start becomming conscious.
I'm not so sure if we started out trying to look like the white women, we just wanted to look good for our black men and the white women was the only guide line we had to go by.
But that is just my opinion.

"Sisters HATE Seeing Brothers With White Chicks ..."

    So do Bruhs...;)

    Peace
Looking around the food court in the mall, it becomes obvious that the only people who can possibly be unique-and manifest that natural difference-choose instead to blend right in with the rest of the women with straight hair. Deplorable, of course.

But with regards to these women hating on white women, and bruhs for being with them...
Some Sis' try their best to fit in. And to have a bruh still choose those that the sis' ardently attempt to emulate...well it's a let down of sorts.
And it's not just white girls, it's Asian, Latino and all the other women with six ether hair. A pathology indeed.

There are so-called soldiers who hate the war, but they still load up their guns and go huntin'. They just do what they think others appreciate.

the poster who explained the role of the media is dead on. I have yet to see white chicks in Afrika or the Caribean walking around with Afro and Braid wigs. Even though blacks are the majority there, the women there straighten their hair also.

This trend is getting worse as I said in the other thread, not only do they straitghten -which keeps your hair from growing long, but they wear blonde wigs and weaves now, that is a blatant attempt to look white.

Being a black man myself I am definately feeling this brother..but I didnt have that issue with black women like he did...but I never had that issue with black women that I dated..they always respected me it was ALWAYS white girls with me...

.on the "I wanna go into a peaceful house" Yea thats what I'm talkin about....too many people always wanting to fight and nothing ever gets done.... thats all my children's mom did was *****, cry and complain and wondered why we were both miserable....as I say....if one person is miserable you either stay miserable with them or leave and be happy...miserable people want to make you as miserable as them....as tragic as that is..

Self-hatred is taught and with Time divides... Man, me and this young brotha last year, he use to constantly complain about that in our women... That is exactly what you what we all see. Society; how you will get in "the door". We must support ourselves our scholars, our businesses, our neighborhoods... Or the break-down will only continue into an untimely end. I got dreds, and a lot of "real black women" automatically think I'm a crack dealer or voodoo man. Why? We know why because thugs and stigmas. But why? There are no answers for those who do not look into "the mirror"...and accept. Just confusion on top of confusion, which has a break down consequence... And the ones (they who set standards), many women....and men who are (sub)-consciously imitating "to survive" they still label you too... by what you still come from.
