Peace and Blessings Family,

As some of you may know, our Beloved Sister Patrice is not feeling well. She recently had major surgery, and immediately thereafter, took a turn for the worse. I know she won't mind me sharing this, as she came into the chat room and told us, but hasn't been back for a few days. I understand that she's getting the help that she needs and in the mean time and between time, i thought it would be nice if we had a big giant thread of love waiting for her when she comes back!

Soooooooooooooooooooo ...

Whether you've had the pleasure of meeting Sister Patrice or not, please trust that she is wonderful and deserving of all our love ... ... so please give her some by signing this thread and send up a prayer for her complete healing ... let's combine our energies for a great cause!

Sister Patrice ... we love you !!!! ... Get Well Soon !!!!
  :injured:

Get Well Soon, Patrice...

I know that the poetry forum is upstairs... But a few weeks ago Patrice, I believe it was during Friday night's poetry slam, you suggested in chat that all the poets write a piece with the topic of "I Wanna Know". So, here is the poem that I read at that time. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

I wanna know
where did all the time go?
To think that it was just hours ago
that our pesky alarm clocks blared so
And we all arose and wiped
the sleep out of the sun's eyes
Did you happen to see the sun rise?
Wonder about somebody's fears,
somebody's cries?
Ponder your own
wonder...whys...
What went through your minds
before bare feet stepped upon
plush carpet or chilly floor?
Did you get your groove on,
enjoying Stella or Steven
Did you pray you'd end this day
half way breaking even?
Just what did you ponder
as you began this day,
and over twelve hours, seemingly,
slipped away?
Or have they?
Where did all the time go?
That's what I wanna know...

Now, get well soon, so you can inspire some more poetry, ya hear? Here's to a speedy recovery!
