Of amethyst, emerald, and gold

Getting brothas straight sprung
Beauty so infinite

Serengeti reds and Moroccan blues
Others wish they could hang

Royal African Queens
Strolling by envious eyes
In urban scenes

Let's Wrap

Yes I'm a wrapped sista
and I do it because i can
beautiful bright colors
that sets off my natural tan

Upon my head wrapped bountiful
proudly displayed as a crown
adorned with cowery shell jewelry
and kente cloth as my gown

Wrapped in head to toe
in a way we can only display
they sit back and wonder
how did they make it stay that way.
