This is one of those crimes, which you couldn't conceive of a black person doing. However a 32 year old black woman, Dwanette Knight (an attractive psychology student) is currently facing trial for making death threats against Catherine Zeta-Jones. The reason for the threats was Dwanette's obession for her 60 year old husband, Michael Douglas. So here we have an attractive, intelligient sister who is willing to throw away her future for a white man who is twice her age (and who she was never met). SMH...what is our community coming to? Our ancestors must be rolling over in their graves. Here is a link to the article:

those are some of the sadest tales that a sistah as such is going
crazy for a 60 yr old white man and to waste her whole career on
a fatal attraction she had to be on drugs or just out of reach with
reality, what really is becoming of our people and how they think
she now facing maybe 19 years of her life behind bars is simply crazy
I hope she get the treatment needed and some help. It's a shame !

    Pan...

Actually, they met at some function several years back.

But, you're right. This is utterly ridiculous.

We're starting to see more and more cases of our people doing things that only white people were known for doing. Assimilation is something else...isn't it? Walk like them, talk like them, dress like them...you'll eventually act like them...even the crazy outlandish behavior. smh

Why can't we just be us? Is the pressure of racism/white supremacy getting to us now? Or has it gotten to us some time back and we're only beginning to see the signs of it now? smh

Don't understand why it's alway the white folks fault? Must be something else. Like maybe she has some image problems of her own, don't thing you can shift the blame.

I don't think it has anything to do with racism. Some people like freaks...and Michael Douglas is as freaky as they come. Basic Instnct, Disclosure, Fatal Attraction etc. The man is a sex symbol whether people want to admit it of not because he's a straight up freak. He admitted he was in a sex-program because he's such a freak. She obviously is obsessed with what Catherine-Zeta Jones has. It is sad though because the man is wrinkled and just not good-looking at all, but some people are drawn to stuff like that. Whenever you stalk someone, it's your own bad...no one elses. :nono:

No. You misunderstood me. I'm not blaming white folks for anything...although I can blame them for a lot. :D I'm only pointing out the increase in our people participating in activities we would associate with white folks. I'm pretty sure that members of our people participate in stalking. But, I don't know too many who participate in stalking a 60 year old anything to the degree that this young lady did. That's just not our flow.

Of course, the blame of her actions is hers...and hers alone. We may not be the blame for what happens to us all the time. But, the responsibility of finding a solution resides with us. And if you don't know what or who caused it and it happened, then how can you come up with a reasonable solution to the problem?

    Much love

    peace
