    i
    sipped love like wine
    cautiously
    afraid of becoming inebriated
    repeatedly
    secretly desiring to be drunk
    lost somewhere between
    paranoia and utopia
falling into finely fermented fits of
    passion
feverishly finding forms of folly to fulfill longings of
    fantasia
all the while apprehensive about following the footsteps of
    my feelings
finding it to late to free myself from this futileness
    i must admit
    i'm now an alcoholic
dependent on delusions derived from the vine of
    intimacy
though a skeptic still, still i must feed the needs of
    dependency
disillusioned now am i, afraid to try
    new things
    for fear
    they will be
    habit forming
    and ignorantly
    i will become
    addicted from
    one sip

    ...it is said that
too much of a good thing can be
    ~ Wonderful ~
and after having your lighted essence
    touch my mind's canvas...
    in the form of words,
    effortlessly sculpted by the hands
of a Nubian God...that is you

    ...I am inclined to believe
that inebriation isn't all that bad...

Dancing in alliteration brotha. Sipping can be lovely, but sometimes we all just have to take that big gulp ya know. As usual, I enjoyed your flow.
