In Islam there is belief that singing and dancing is ungodly. If the Black people took on that view do you think we would be better off and focus on more important matters as a race.

We as Black people love music probably too much (myself included) and that love has been exploited for all to see. Our ancestors were not dumb and knew exactly what could and has happened.

    What are your views?

I would provide links but not allowed yet.

There are differences of opinions on this issue [singing],it is not as clear cut as some people say.Although the strongest view do seem to be that it is haram, except for naseeds,[Islamic songs with no musical instruments].

I do listen to music sometimes as long as i feel it is positive and has something real to say.It has not been proven that all music is haram to me.Allah knows best.

Although i do not support the corrupt music industry and its garbage.

As far as suggestive dancing in mixed company, that would be haram.
