    sing a song of captivity
bound by the chains of ignorance
heavy with hurt, worn by despair, rusted by tears.

    sing a song of struggle
    fighting against those chains
pulling and writhing in an agony
so sweet only i can imagine.
    gaining strenth in each
    wrenching twist and turn.

    bloodied and worn, i finally
    sing a song of freedom.
free to live, free to learn, free to experience my dreams.

    sing a song of fear
too much, too close, too soon...

    sing a song of captivity
    bound, heavy, worn, and rusted.
"... and i love you, too."

    ****.
