My sister has juvenile (Type I) diabetes. She has done a great job of keeping it under control. However, now she is pregnant and during pregnancy it is harder for her to detect when her sugar is high or low. Today we did discover that the hypothermia she feels sometimes are a sign.. Does anyone here know of any other ways that a pregnant woman with diabetes can tell when her sugar may be getting too high or too low?

I can't speak for pregnant women.

But I'm borderline hypoglycemic and when my sugar gets too low my eyes start burning and I get short (shorter) tempered.

    Sam

Atleast when my temper is short I can blame it on low glucose levels.

Psychiatrists still haven't been able to figure out what makes people like you continue to call themselves "God" when it's obvious have little control over their own emotions let what happens in their lives.

You can blame your short temper on whatever you want but please take it elsewhere. I started this thread to get some information not so you can pick bones with other members..

If you know you have a problem deal with it. Like I said get some chem strips and check your sugar before you post because no one here is going to excuse your behavior just because your sugar is low..
