Black Relationships : Signs of Jealousy

Jealousy falls in a wide range ....often lack of and low self-esteem fuel jealousy
this can roll into being abusive verbal and physical....jealousy is no laughing matter
the signs will present themselves .

Don't want you talking or communicating with opposite sex.

Some people believe jealousy is a sign of love. But real love involves trust and communication, not accusations and snooping. When jealous behaviour becomes a problem, it's most often a manifestation of the jealous person's own insecurities and self-esteem issues. Here's some signs that you may have a problem with jealousy:

1) Feeling compelled to track your partner's every minute of time
2) Becoming overly upset when your partner is unavailable
3) Calling your partner multiple times to check up
4) Feeling tempted to flirt with others just to 'show' a supposedly cheating partner
5) Interpreting a partner's fatigue, illness, or distraction as a sign that you are not loved
6) Compulsions to snoop into a partner's e-mail, cell phone records or other private communications

Any more to add to the list? Keep them coming!

These are signs of a person with ISSUES!

I have even received some phone calls from women checking their man's cell phone.....Every time, it was a wrong number, either made or received. Usually, I never even spoke to the guy because they would hang up when they heard my voice mail..not recognizing my voice, they realized they had the wrong number.---And likewise, when I dialed a wrong number.

But, these women would wanna try to "grill" me, trying to find out if I knew her man. <roll eyes>

And they would persist with their questions even after I told them that it was a wrong number.

In one such call, I told the woman that if she had to go thru her man's phone like that, then she didn't have a man.... that I certainly wouldn't want him either....and to not call my phone again!

Well, for some reason, she didn't like that response very well. (lol)

....I don't do jealousy. If I can't trust you, I don't want cha. And if you can't trust me, I don't want cha. I'm not gonna check up behind you and I'm not gonna report to you every minute of my day either. But, we should have a mutual respect for each other that we each know and show that we are truthful about where we go and for how long.

Men and women who play these jealousy games need to grow up.....and maybe also need to get some counseling.

I want a man who knows no other man could step to me.
And I wanna know no other woman can sway him either.

Like the song says, "You aint woman enough to take my man!"

Haha, what? Is that jealousy or stalking? I don't view them the same, myself.

I don't believe all jealousy is bad, but normal. People just need to get a hold of it, and not let it drive them to doing something they'd later regret. And I don't think it's right for any to try to stir up feelings of jealousy in anyone, either.
