Jesus said, "O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" We are given plenty in the scriptures to forecast the signs of the times in this Latter-day generation. And evidently we are expected to do just that.

The parable of the fig tree is how we are going to watch for two things. One is the times of tribulation that precedes the Second Coming of Christ. And then a look at the advent of the return of Christ or that actual Second Coming. It's a two part study. Usually people skip right to the Second Coming and say that is still a long way off. Is it?

The fig tree is a "late leafer" indicating when the leaves appear, summer "is nigh at hand." Therefore we have a parable of the fig tree. "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves ye know that summer is nigh:" Jesus said, "...verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." He was speaking of these days, our generation. We can see the fig tree putting forth a leaf at a time, starting with the leaf of contention, murder in mass as a sign. There has been no war proclaimed only mass type murders, foreign and domestic."The evil servant shall say in his heart the Lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to smite his fellow servants…"

The first big sign getting ready for the Coming of the Lord is the lawlessness, spiritual and temporal, as if the one with the crayon had colored beyond the lines. The picture becomes blurred for truth, order and civility. "Except those (these) days should be shortened there should be no flesh saved: but for the elect's (faithful to God) sake those days shall be shortened.

While Jesus is speaking to his Jewish disciples at that time, the events he is describing will be specifically taking place in our time, some of it in different measure more or less depending upon what part of the world we are living in.

While there has been wars and rumors of wars all through history we will move into a particular kind of war pertaining to and centered around the State of Israel. This is already being discussed and set up by secret agreements between "Gog" who some have identified as Russia and others who would like to see "Death to Israel". It is something for us to watch for as this is another leaf of the fig tree or sign of further desolation through the Middle East that brings many nations to a world war, those who wish to destroy Israel and those who fight to protect it. God wishes it to be protected as the Lord is holding Israel in reserve, "For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, "Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." Eventually Missionaries will be accepted to teach with in the Jewish of the State of Israel. Those who set up to battle against Israel are cursed to be broken down with loss.

Along with the State of Israel is the spiritual Israel being the Christians. "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you and ye shall be hated…" It is not just the Jewish but christians also who suffer horrific death in the Middle East, they and their children. And, there is a growing number who scorn christianity in the democracies and work against it to prevent it through politics and colleges. One smaller example, remember when it wasn't politically correct three years ago to wish somebody Merry Christmas in public, so the stores began saying "Happy Holidays. However wishing one happy other religious holidays was acceptable. Just nothing with Christ in the name. By the way I am for equal opportunity for others' happy holidays and free agency.

Happiness and free agency is a well wishing from God, and yet there is that free agency of the wicked that will sometimes prevent happiness.

Another leaf on our fig tree -- a sign, "And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another." That is something demonstrated on the news around the world, and in the United States at this time. It is also a matter that shows up between the Republican and Democrat parties that have become opposition tribes. It is no longer the question of what works for our nation as each party is sworn to serve to move our nation ahead. There are a couple people I would like to see get a pink slip, but I'm not sending hate mail. But just in case there is a pink slip, I have an express pony with his mane all curled, ready to go.

Among the citizens, families have broken up over party choice/dispute. Employment will fall according to what party the job seeker belongs to. Our celebrities receive hate mail and lose fans. Kanye West comes to mind lately, because he doesn't get free speech or his choice of who he wants, politically.

It seems like everywhere we turn there is somebody outing people they work with or know publicly. There are some people who deserve it, and yet does it go too far? There are no more secrets and what if some want to change their lives? Too bad!

I've decided that if I ever wanted to run for an office, I would just go to the news media and confess all my sins before somebody else said something. "Yes and when I was six I took a candy from Mr. Renfro's market. But, I felt sorry I did. All I had was a dime. I went back and threw a dime into the store to ease my guilt." Too bad!

The kids are arguing at school and taking sides. Teachers are getting snarky with certain students not reflecting the teacher's party choice. Speakers are banned from speaking on college campuses if they don't fall in line with what is being taught politically by the professors.

"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Isn't it interesting that one has influence on the other. Empathy, mother of understanding for others nurtures, blesses the solitary one. The one who searches for a little place among the crowd which is shoulder to shoulder, and there is no room for compassion to stand.

A lot of these quotes are taken from Matthew 24.

"When ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,…" In our day keep your eye on the Middle East, as there is a secret ambition, yet not so secret as to who because you could probably name them, a collection of haters over there who wish to destroy western democracies, and dominate the world for power to rule over us. The desolation will become obvious even though it began with much rubble through certain Middle East places already.

The Holy Place is in personal righteousness so angels can be your companion.

I believe we should consider the future: What are we seeing beyond those who are pundits, who are saying what and from what direction and a certain maybe false belief that all is well that the way should rest on traditional walkways to success by what political leaders from either parties argue and what race is leading the way? What way would that be when Last Day prophecies are beginning to be fulfilled.

Things have changed again. What was "Extreme" weather has now been renamed to "MEGA" weather.

There are terrible droughts. In the scriptures droughts didn't come by a political party, but by the Lord withdrawing his blessing from a land or people who aren't paying attention to what God has to say. With drought comes MEGA fires.There are a number of states fighting record runaway fires right now.

It's kind of like being given a map by the Lord. If you take care to step here, I will lead you out. Or, you can step any where you will, but some of the stones will be as a small example famine, fires, floods, Mega poverty, strife, the loss of natural feelings of love for your fellow beings.

Forty eight percent of Americans believe there will be a Civil war in five years. President Obama warned there will be trouble if the States continue to be divided. Can you see what is happening at this very time?

The Socialist U.K. is in economical trouble causing division among the people. The German people are wanting Prime Minister Merkle out! They are sick of a Socialist Government that is causing them poverty. Hasn't anyone learned yet, Socialism is a poverty culprit not the solution added to by hundreds of thousands of immigrants on mass entering for government help. Money is limited. We upped the minimum wage to 15.00 dollars an hour and now the kids can't get the jobs they used to. Plus there's that robot factory. Who needs people?! Amazon is one of those who use robot workers. What does that look like ten years from now?

It is reported that bananas are going extinct. Because there is a disease among them. Instead of seeds bananas have been cloned. If cloned bananas have a disease, then where do we get a fresh start with new seeds for new plants?

So with this small view of the future, what do we have there? What is the solution???
