Taken to the doorsteps of darkness, who shall enter?
The crossroads of spring and summer to a fall and eternal winter
Where one speaks with the cold
And even the young appear old
Beauty in the simplicity of it all
Like a land blanketed in cotton after the fall
Gone are the colors and sounds of youth
Look to the silence and stillness as proof
All roads lead to the dark door
Where separation of race and class are no more
Through the tundra of bitter cold we’ll travel
No more blacktop, earth, sand, or gravel
