Black People : Should we ignore black on black crime?

True

Well what I post isn't bizarre tabloid incidents

Like the last post I posted touched home because a close friend of mine's nephew was killed by the mother's boyfriend

And plus you are hearing about this stuff all too often that it's ridiculous
I dont know what to tell you about that ,
I live in one of the roughest neghborhoods in the nation and I have never heard of anything like that in years, what are the statistics, are black men doing this more then white, realy it sounds like a Jerry Springer issue.

Now if some one said there should be a serious effort to battle crack then yes that is black on black crime going on all over the nation

but realy what newspapers are printing that kind of thing?

and to be honest after 2 or 3 posts , folks say oh how bad,
oh how sad, oh aint it a shame,

but never ask
OK so what are some solutions that folks can network seriously state to state to deal with reversing this

If women are desiring to have relationships with total drips and this stuff as you say is getting worse and worse then what should be done??

First; a bunch of questions..

Why does anyone commit crime? why shouldnt black folks commit
crime against other black folks? Are you suggesting that folks that have
decided to rob and steal and kill should somehow also be conscious and
self-loving enough to perpetrate their crimes against non-black people
instead?

next; yet another long post.. just for you Missy.. :)

The term black on black crime has been used against us.. as a way of saying
that we are responsible for the violence and decadence in the parts of
the cities that we occupy. Its used by the white power structure as an
excuse not to police those areas.. and to create the impression that we
are a group of killers and criminals.. and that in turn allows them to do
what they want in those areas. Anything that happens in those areas can
then be attributed to black on black crime.. Its a phrase that ignores the police
protected drug trade that exists in black areas... and the intentional
under-education and exploitation of black children by the education
system.. how are those kids supposed to get work and support themselves
and their children if they have no functional education? If you isolate a
group of any kind of people.. control their access to economic power,
to knowledge, to opportunity.. then concentrate the drug trade in their
neighborhoods, what you are going to get is what we have. And for the
record, in every single nation their is crime.. chinese on chinese crime,
german on german crime, indian on indian crime, etc.. and thats not
to say that we should ignore black crime.. we shouldnt but we should
always recognize the context through which that news written and delivered.

that said.. I dont think anybody wants to hear about every bad thing that
happened everywhere in the world everyday anyway.. we have that on
every channel already.. why not search for stories that uplift? or that
inform or that speak to some larger issue that we need to talk about.
why dig through the basket looking only for the rotten fruit?... huh?
huh?.. huh? We live under constant downward pressure.. lift us up.

and that was short..

Peace.
:toast::toast::toast: Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:fyi:LOL Thanks for your short version

No I don't believe black people should turn to commit violence against anyone...But seeing how if I said, on this website, that black people should not commit crimes against non-blacks some would say I'm supporting the white supremacy

If it's not black on black crime then what should it be called?

And I am aware of the following things you said.

However, I do not post every single drop of crime that is committed in against black people

I have posted a lot of things on "People doing positive things" in the community and I post about education...

I post things that matter to me...seeing how I've worked in the juvenile detention, school system, and homeless/battered women

You may not wanna know, but others may

A lot of topics discussed on this forum aren't uplifting...But they are FACTS that need to be discussed

It's an issue in Washington...I don't know why, but its in our news constantly

I am constantly trying to think of solutions, but in order to figure out a solution the root of the problem needs to found...but it can't be done by just saying "how sad" and then ignoring it as if it we're just used to it

Should we ignore black on black crime? No.

Like skuderjaymes said, "...we should always
recognize the context through which that news
written and delivered."

So on that note I recommend to you, Misinterpret,
